You may have skills that God can use

right here in Australia, making it possible for missionaries to receive their support funds, working in our Christian Book Link department, working in one of our bookstores, or recruiting other missionaries for the field. Our ministry is kept in operation by the people of God who have been called to impact the world by fixing computers, managing ministry accounts, organising prayer groups, donating their finances, tending to the maintenance of our office buildings, and shops.  You can touch the world without leaving Australia.

CLC is in need of people willing to participate in our mission in one or more of the following ways:

Opportunities with CLC International (Australia)

Are you seeking God's way for you, do you know someone who is? Are you convinced of the power of the Word of God, do you enjoy working with people? Would you like to experience the provision of God yourself? Are you a student wondering what to do during your year out? Would YOU consider becoming involved in our work?
There are always opportunities for service both home and abroad. In Australia, for instance there are big centres, small centres, offices and our Outback Outreach which always welcome new colleagues.
Does it seem strange to consider working in the Australia as a missionary?
Consider the following statistics from the UK, which would be similar in Australia:
5,000 non-churchgoers were asked: "If you desperately wanted to know something about the Bible or the Christian faith, where would you go?"
In a survey of adults in 1995 61% said they believed in God - but less than 16% attended church on any sort of regular basis.

Our shops, strategically located in town centres around the country, offer the opportunity of front line evangelism whilst in a relatively safe and socially acceptable environment for the non-Christian.

We aim to make entering a Christian Bookworld shop a lot less threatening for a non-Christian than going to church, yet they might buy a book that will minister to them for hours on end.

Through our shops we have an excellent opportunity to meet people who would never darken the doors of a church - and it works!! People do find God through our centres!

Supplying the church with needed resources can mean finding the right book for someone recently bereaved, matching the right person with the Bible for them, and even giving folk the opportunity to buy non-threatening books for their children to read.

Interested? Want to know more? Read on...Below are 3 ways in which you could be involved in the work of CLC:

  1. Short-term work is an ideal opportunity for those who want to spend a specific length of time serving God before moving on to other things, or as part of a sandwich course, or who would like to experience the work before making a long term commitment.
  2. Full-time work is available to those who sense God's calling to commit themselves to a longer term serving Him.
  3. Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds: from school-leavers to those who have retired, via mums whose children are at school. They generally help at their local centre at a regular time each week and their contribution to our work is really indispensable.
No other medium can witness so daringly - abide so persistently - or influence so irresistibly as the printed page. It can be obtained and studied secretly - get undivided attention in quiet hours -leap language and cultural barriers that hamper personal contact - go where the human missionary cannot - and it lives after the spoken word is lost.

Statistics show we automatically forget much of what we hear and remember more of what we read.
